Beason defends 'empty the clip' remark

In a speech on immigration earlier this week, state Sen. Scott Beason urged fellow Republicans to "empty the clip." We're guessing he didn't mean "take the clip out of the gun and take all the bullets out of it."

According to the Associated Press, Beason now says he meant nothing violent by the remark. He says it would take not just one bill, but many, to address immigration issues.
